I was born and raised in Jericho Vermont, and graduated from Mount Mansfield High School before joining the Army.

 

 

About Andrew Stevens

 

After serving full-time in the U.S. Army for 6 yrs (where I met my wife, Tricia, who was also in the service), we returned to Jericho, VT shortly after our son Marcus was born.

 

While continuing to serve with the Army National Guard for 2 more years, I worked for my father at Steve’s Gas Supply. I moved on to Stevens Gas Service as a propane delivery driver. After Stevens Gas Service I started with Vermont Gas System. Starting at the bottom, I quickly moved up to a senior service technician as one of their top technicians.

 

A Family History in Heating

 

Steve’s Home Supply was started in Essex Jct. Vermont by my Grandfather in the 40’s. My grandfather and his children would provide propane gas and services locally and throughout New England doing bottle exchange. Stevens Gas Service was started by my Uncle Matt in the 70’s. Stevens Gas Service grew to be one of the largest and respected propane companies in Northwest Vermont until 2007 when he sold it to focus on his retirement. My father currently owns Steve’s Gas Supply in Essex, Vermont, which used to build propane delivery trucks, and still performs limited service and repairs.

 

I went on to work at Vermont Gas Systems as a service technician for 10 years, working up to Senior Technician. While at VGS, I helped the Safety Department give classroom trainings for local fire departments and outside contractors.

 

A Passion for Service

 

I previously served as a volunteer firefighter in the Underhill Jericho Fire Department. I still help teach Emergency Propane Response classes and live burn training to local fire departments.

 

I started my own business because I wanted to be able to provide a more advanced level of service to my customers. Andrew Stevens Heating and Air Conditioning LLC. is currently myself, two full time technicians and an office Manager.  But no matter how much I grow my business, my mission will always be to provide excellent service.
